1. WHAT IS THIS NOTICE? Please read this privacy notice (the "Privacy Notice") carefully to understand MARATIB's policies and practices regarding the Personal Data of its customers and how MARATIB will treat it. The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (the "Act") was introduced to regulate the processing of Personal Data in commercial transactions. The Act, which applies to all companies and firms that are established in Malaysia, requires Us to inform you of your rights in respect of your Personal Data.

 

2. WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA? "Personal Data" refers to information that relates directly or indirectly to you, which can be used to identify you on its own or in combination with other data that We collect or have access to.

 

3. WHO ARE WE? Any reference in this Privacy Notice to "MARATIB", "We", and "Us" shall mean Kota Kata Events [LA0075213-H] and, as applicable, any of its subsidiaries and related companies as defined in the Companies Act 2016.

  • your name, date of birth, identification supporting documents (including NRIC or passport number), gender, nationality and race, preferred language, current private and/or business address, installation address, telephone or mobile phone number, email address, questions and/or data to facilitate security measures We have for your account;

  • your credit and/or debit card information, bank account details and your payment history;

  • the status of the products and/or services you have acquired from Us or subscribed to;

  • how you use the products and/or services;

  • the equipment (such as your mobile and your computer system) and/or software you use when accessing our and/or our preferred merchants’ and strategic partners’ products and/or services;

  • your personal interests and preferences to help us tailor offerings of our and/or our preferred merchants’ and strategic partners’ products and/or services which would suit you best;

  • clickstream data when you visit any of MARATIB’s website, social media platforms, apps or websites;

  • such other information that may be necessary for MARATIB’s legitimate business purposes or as required by applicable legal requirements.

5. WHAT ARE THE SOURCES OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

(a) We may obtain Personal Data from you directly when you:

  • communicate with Us, including when you submit an application to become our customer or when you contact Us regarding any enquiries;

  • subscribe for specific MARATIB product and/or services;

  • use any MARATIB products and/or services;

  • enter or participate in any competitions, contests or loyalty programmes run and/or organised by or on behalf of MARATIB;

  • request any information or register any interest in any of MARATIB’s products and/or services;

  • respond to any marketing or promotional materials circulated by MARATIB;

  • visit any MARATIB offices, premises, or retail centres;

  • visit, browse, post on or input any information into any MARATIB apps, social media platforms and/or websites;

  • lodge a complaint with MARATIB; and

  • provide any feedback to MARATIB.

 

(b) Other than Personal Data obtained from you, We may also obtain your Personal Data from third parties We deal with or are connected with you (including credit reference or reporting agencies or financial institutions) and from other sources where you have given your consent for the disclosure of Personal Data relating to you, and/or where otherwise lawfully permitted.

 

(c) We collect information about your use of our websites from cookies. Cookies are packets of information stored in your computer or device which assist your website navigation by customising site information tailored to your needs. Cookies in themselves do not identify the individual user, just the computer or device used. You are not obliged to accept cookies. (q) if relevant, such other purposes as set out in MARATIB’s General Terms and Conditions and, if applicable, MARATIB’s Campaign Terms and Conditions. By providing the Personal Data, you are deemed to have given your consent to the processing and use by MARATIB of the Personal Data for the Purposes.

9. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION FOR? We retain your Personal Data as long as it is necessary to fulfill legal or business obligations.

 

10. WHAT COMMITMENTS DO YOU GIVE IN RESPECT OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA? You are responsible for providing accurate and updated information and obtaining consent from third parties if their data is shared.
