Completed at the age of 92, and originally written in long-hand like all of his books, Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas offers an original contribution to global scholarship by clarifying further on the question of the Covenant of the Children of Adam and their descendants with God; of the Covenant of the Prophets; and how Islam, which was brought by Prophet Muhammad, fulfilled both Covenants.
This highly penetrating book will be most instructive for thoughtful Muslims and their leaders to always be vigilant of how some of the most important key terms and concepts of Islam have been mis-translated under the guise of sophisticated scholarship, which can cause serious deviation from the original and traditional understanding of the Holy Qur’an.

The first installment of RZS-CASIS Saturday Night Lecture for the 17th Series, delivered by Professor Dr. Wan Mohd Nor Wan Daud (Founder and First Director of RZS-CASIS) on 4th April 2026; a continuation of the tradition which has been started by al-marḥūm Royal Laureate Professor Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas (may Allah showers His Mercy upon him) himself since more than 30 years ago.
This lecture session, highlighting, among others, the prominent role and the great contribution of al-marḥūm Royal Laureate Professor Dr. Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas within the context of his predecessors from among the great scholars, how the very person of Professor al-Attas and his works contributed to the shaping of thought of some contemporary Muslim scholars, thinkers, leaders and the Muslim community around the world, the honour and the appreciation given to the works of Professor al-Attas—locally and globally—by the learned communities from various backgrounds as exemplified in the various translations available on Professor al-Attas’s works and also the works of Professor Wan in commenting the thought of his great teacher and close companion for many years.

The current psychological climate limits the understanding of happiness to be only within the temporal and secular. This modern conception marshals virtue, the self, and ikhtiyār to instead serve the tragic spirit.
In two of his seminal monographs (Islam: The Conception of Religion and the Foundation of Ethics and Morality & Meaning and Experience of Happiness in Islam), Prof. Al-Attas strives to remedy this corruption by rerooting the notion of happiness as sa'adah within the true standard of submission, which is Islam.

[This Lecture is Delivered in Bahasa Melayu]

This lecture explores the philosophy of science within Islamic civilization, critically examining the prevalent Western-centric view of scientific development. Prof. Dr. Alparslan Açikgenc argues for an alternative philosophy of science from an Islamic perspective, emphasizing that the current "global scientific tradition" is largely a product of Western thought, particularly logical positivism. A significant portion of the discussion focuses on challenging the conventional historical narrative of Western civilization and science, asserting that its roots, particularly the emergence of a "transparent worldview", often originate in regions outside of Europe and were heavily influenced by Islamic scientific traditions, which are often systematically downplayed or ignored by Western historians. The lecture concludes by outlining a scientific process and advocating for the development of Islamic science based on its unique ontological and epistemological foundations.

Siri Asuhan Pemimpin Muda terdiri daripada 1 sesi sharahan pengenalan dan 7 sesi sharahan utama anjuran Malaysian Relief Agency (Selangor) dengan kerjasama RZS-CASIS dan Persatuan Bahasa Melayu Universiti Malaya.
